Our friend Stanley in Massachusetts collects hundreds of balloons trashing the offshore waters of beautiful Martha's Vineyard. Fishing these waters all his life, he never would see balloons - now, collecting this floating garbage has become part of his routine.

Abi, Lili and Mary - Michigan
Our friends Abi, Lili & Mary found these balloons at Weko Beach in Lake Michigan. They find at least 15 - 20 balloons with string usually wrapped up in seaweed with more trash. Good save! Thumbs down to balloons, thumbs up to you!!

Our friend at Rolling Harbour Abaco found this balloon mess on a beautiful beach in the Bahamas. Nice save!

MUVE - Florida
Our friends at the Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) are always finding balloons. This Mother's Day balloon was recently found on Virginia Key. Nice catch!

Our friend Mike in California always collects balloons while sailing. On this day he found about a dozen balloons polluting the offshore waters of beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes. Nice save! Much respect for using your mad skills to pick up this deadly floating trash!

Our friend Deb in Illinois found this latex balloon only feet from Poplar Creek. "The next rain storm would carry this bright green latex sack into Poplar Creek where it would eventually run into the Fox River into the Illinois River into the Mississippi and then into the Gulf of Mexico. From there....who knows!

Our young friend Lyman in Massachusetts spotted this 'Happy Graduation' balloon when his family was driving past a cornfield. They pulled a U-turn & he jumped out, chasing down the tumbling trash. Much respect for nabbing that floating litter.

Our friend Katie (and my trusty coworker) found this trashed birthday balloon alongside a cornfield while we were out scouting for bat locations on the boarder of Virginia & North Carolina. We can't go anywhere without finding this flyaway trash.

Our friend Paul in the UK often finds balloons while keeping the beaches clean. He found this latex litter on beautiful Porthtowan Beach. Nice job!

Ava - Texas
Our friend Ava in Texas saw this balloon blowing across the grassy area in front of Chili's Grill & Bar. She alerted her mom, by the time she was able to pull over it had popped. There were several birds near where it popped & Ava was super glad to get it before the birds ate the pieces! Nice save!
