Another animal harmed by a single released balloon – the ribbon strangling him. This poor harbor seal was found along a Quogue beach on Long Island, New York. Fortunately, he was rescued by our friends at The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation. Most are not so lucky. He is in poor health and suffers from lesions and ulcerations. He is receiving excellent care.
We are hopeful he will recover quickly and can rejoin his family soon.
