If you are thinking about having a balloon release….please think again!
You would not only be contributing to the death toll of wildlife but your action will also encourage other people to do the same. People will likely see your balloons from miles away and if they decide to do the same thing it will only add more to the total of balloons in on our land and in our seas.
Think about the impact your balloons will have on other life. From your joy of letting go of balloons- pain, misery, and death will come to any animal that encounters it. Please check out our alternatives page to find a more original way to celebrate, who knows maybe you’ll start the new celebratory trend.

Understand that we all live on this planet together with people and animals. We have the power to make good decisions for ourselves and our home, planet Earth.
We created this website to educate people about the effects of balloon releases in hopes that their new found knowledge will lead them to make better decisions.
We are worried. We are afraid that after seeing other people do it, even more people will perform balloon releases. We are concerned for the animals, concerned for the Earth. That is why we created this site, to educate and urge you to inform every one of the consequences; consequences that include injury and death to living creatures.
Would you purposely pop balloons and throw them on the ground or dump them in the sea? Would you purposely choke and kill a sea turtle or a whale? Would you purposely tie a bird’s break shut knowing it will starve to death? Would you purposely entangle and trap a baby sea turtle, a bird, or any other animal?
We hope no one would intentionally do these things but that is exactly what people are doing when they let go of a balloon or many balloons.
Please tell people, show people, show them the murders that they are committing and the impact to the environment when a balloon release is done. With so many alternatives there is no reason not to choose another option that supports life, instead of killing it.
